We're building a tool that actually works — not one that promises everything. Here's what ablagio. can't do today:
Auto-rename files with no readable name
A file named "20230714_183442.pdf" with no recognisable context can only be clustered by date. The Intelligent Rename feature (Pro) helps with files that have identical or similar names.
Windows and Firefox / Safari
ablagio. currently runs in Chrome and Edge on macOS only. Windows and more browsers are on the roadmap.
Music genre detection without an internet connection
Genre recognition for music files (Pro) uses MusicBrainz — a brief online request per track. Without a network connection, music files are sorted by filename and genre badges are skipped.
